EEG Technician (LJ)
Located on the grounds of LIJ Medical Center campus, Schneider Children's Hospital is a 154 bed full service facility committed to comprehensive care for children ranging from infancy to young adulthood. The hospital was named one of the top 20 children's hospitals in the country by Child magazine. It is a regional center for pediatric care, lung rescue, bone marrow transplantation, cardiac surgery, neonatology and cystic fibrosis.
In this role the EEG Technician will:
Operate equipment to take electroencephalographic (EEG) tracings
Calibrate adjust and keep EEG equipment in a clean operating condition
Transport and operate EEG equipment to patients' rooms,as required
Abstract relevant information from patient's clinical records.
Prior training in electroencephalographic technology required
Certification preferred. Previous clinical EEG Technician experience required and/or a relevant internship
Experience with special procedures, evoked potential preferred.
Ability to operate EEG equipment required.
