The position will be working from our main office in our Long Island location.
Responsibilities:
Experienced leasing administrator with strong knowledge of tenant lease documents and top level customer service Stay up-to-date of policy and rule changes affecting rent stabilization, leasing, affordable housing programs and fair housing Knowledge and experience working on annual DHCR rent registration filings Perform periodic internal file audits to ensure our team is creating and maintaining its files accurately Oversee all new tenant leases including abstracting relevant tenant data, applying rent and security to the correct accounts, posting of all lease charges and creation of new lease files Experience handling tenant lease renewals in a timely manner and in strict compliance with rent stabilization and other applicable laws Ensure all vacancy information is updated and processed in a timely manner Perform special department projects as needed Position may be required to perform duties outside their normal responsibilities as needed and when requested.
Requirements:
At least 5
years' direct professional experience with NYC residential rental and rent stabilization compliance Computer literacy, including proficient in Yardi and Microsoft Office Suite Excellent written and oral communication skills Initiative and exceptional time management skills in handling multiple projects to meet deadlines Able to maintain a professional demeanor when engaging with residents, staff and others Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information Job Type:
