Our office is looking for a Medical Receptionist/medical Assistant to join our team! The ideal candidate has a background in surgery or orthopedics and is responsible for collecting patient data before and after an operation, and performing administrative work.
This position provides the opportunity to work in a fast-paced office and gain exposure to a variety of medical specialties.
Responsibilities:
Answer the telephone when calls come in.
Greet patients, family members, and visitors by name.
Answer questions about office hours, fees, and policies.
Schedule appointments for and notify doctors of new patients.
Refer patients to medical specialists.
Organize and schedule surgeries.
Answer questions about medical insurance coverage.
Assist patients in completing insurance forms and check into patients' benefits.
Make sure that records are up-to-date.
