The Food Manager will oversee the deli operation, catering menus and execution, charcuterie design, and support, and sometimes lead, Market food events, tastings and training.
Lots of room for innovation, new culinary and revenue ideas, operational improvements, and staff development.
Excellent lifestyle hours; no evenings except for some scheduled events; 9AM-6PM weekdays; Saturday 9AM-5PM; Sunday 9AM-3PM.
Requirements:
At least 2 years experience managing a staff of more than 5 people.
At least 3 years experience managing a food operation.
Thorough knowledge of the local Department of Agriculture food safety requirements.
Ability to build great rapport with staff and customers.
Open to both managing the team and working the deli - true team player that is willing to get their hands very dirty and take on any task when needed! Experience with Italian food.
Speaking Italian and/or Spanish is a huge plus! Job Type:
